# Downloading Your Scripts

CrankChaos paid scripts are delivered through the **Cfx.re Asset Escrow** system (Keymaster / Cfx Portal).

## How to get your purchase

1. Buy the script at [ccfivem.tebex.io](https://ccfivem.tebex.io/) and link the Cfx.re account that owns your server key.
2. Log in to the [Cfx Portal](https://portal.cfx.re/) with that account.
3. Open **Assets -> Granted Assets**. Your purchased resources are listed there.
4. Download the ZIP and extract it into your `resources` folder.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Escrowed resources only run on servers whose license key belongs to the Cfx.re account that received the asset.
{% endhint %}

## What is encrypted and what is open

Escrow encrypts Lua logic only. Always open for editing:

* `config/*.lua`
* `locales/*.json`
* `sql/*.sql` and `README.md`
* The framework bridge files in `shared/` (`cc_framework.lua` and related bridge files), see Framework Bridge
* Script-specific data files (for example item, station, licence or catalog lists) where noted in the script's docs

## Updates

When an update is released, download the new version from **Granted Assets** again. Back up your `config/` and `locales/` first and carry your changes over.

## Free resources

cc\_lib/00%20Overview\.md), cc\_jobs/00%20Overview\.md) and cc\_images%20(cc\_images)/00%20Overview\.md) are not escrowed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://ccfivem.gitbook.io/ccfivem-docs/getting-started/downloading-your-scripts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
